The Total Woman Network continues to live out its mission of empowering women and transforming lives. On July 4th, 2025 , the team embarked on a heartfelt outreach to the female inmates of the Akuse Local Prison through its “Grace Behind Bars” initiative.
Far beyond a donation drive, this initiative is a movement of love, empowerment, and restoration. The visit was filled with moments of joy and relief as the team shared inspiring words of hope and encouragement, reminding the women that their current circumstances do not define their future.
The Total Woman team also provided essential items, including Bibles, food, drinks, toiletries, sanitary pads, underwear, footwear (Crocs), and more. Each donation carried with it a message of dignity and care, leaving smiles on the faces of the inmates.
But this is only the beginning. The Grace Behind Bars project envisions the establishment of a Skills Centre dedicated to equipping the women with vocational skills that will support their reintegration into society. By empowering them with practical tools and opportunities, the initiative seeks to break cycles of despair and open doors to a brighter future.
Speaking about the initiative, the team emphasized:
