20th June 2024, Accra, Ghana — The Total Woman Network, in collaboration with Smart Women Collaborate, in partnership with Ghana Education Service (GES), successfully launched the GIRL YOU CAN INITIATIVE. This remarkable event drew participation from over 400 young girls from both senior high and junior high schools across the region.





















The GIRL YOU CAN INITIATIVE, spearheaded by Edna Quartey, the founder of Total Woman Network and Priscilla Ajo Kortsu of Smart Women Collaborate, aims to empower young girls through personal development, skill-building, and mentorship. The overarching vision is to create a world where every girl is empowered to embrace her unique self and confidently navigate the challenges of life.
The initiative’s mission is clear: to provide young girls with the tools and support they need to unlock their full potential. By fostering a supportive and empowering environment, the GIRL YOU CAN INITIATIVE aspires to make a meaningful contribution to society. Through personal development workshops, skill-building sessions, and mentorship programs, the initiative aims to nurture the talents and abilities of young girls, enabling them to thrive and succeed in various aspects of their lives.
The launch event was a vibrant and inspiring gathering, featuring motivational speeches, interactive workshops, and engaging activities designed to inspire and uplift the participants. The girls had the opportunity to learn from successful women in various fields, gaining insights and advice on how to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams.
Edna Quartey expressed her enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We believe that every girl has the potential to achieve greatness. Our goal is to provide them with the resources and support they need to realize their dreams. By empowering these young girls, we are not only shaping their futures but also contributing to the development of our society.”
Priscilla Ajo Kortsu echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of collaboration in achieving the initiative’s goals. “Working together with the Ghana Education Service and other partners, we can create a lasting impact.
